SHOCKING: Akeredolu, Deputy, lawmakers to spend N50 million on ‘telephone charges’ in 2018


The Ondo State government has earmarked a total of N50 million for governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, his deputy, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, speaker of the State Assembly, Mr. Bamidele Oloyelogun and other members of the Assembly for ‘telephone charges’.

The figures seen by SUNSHINE HERALD were contained in the 2018 budget details signed by Mr. Akeredolu on Tuesday, February 6.

The total budget passed by the house and signed into law is N181.42 billion.

According to the breakdown, which was published under Ondo State of Nigeria, estimates 2018, Overhead Cost Details, has N13 million earmarked as ‘telephone charges’ for the Governor’s office- Government House and Protocol.

The office of the state deputy governor was also budgeted N5 million for same purpose.

The State House of Assembly was also earmarked N30 million naira, different from the N1.5 million and N750,000 budgeted for the office of the Assembly speaker and his deputy respectively.
