A man simply identified as Pastor Akinboyeje was shot dead in his house at Ago-Gboro village around Show Boy Express, Ore, Odigbo local government of Ondo state by yet to identified gunmen.
The incident which occurred around 1:30 am yesterday (Sunday) has left the entire village in a deep shock due to the circumstances surrounding the killing.
The deceased pastor, an indigene of Irele was a pastor in one of the Pentecostal churches in Ago-Gboro who had just been posted to the village before his untimely death.
An unconfirmed report said the pastor was killed by masked armed robbers who were operating around the area, after noticing the reflections of the torchlight pointed in their direction.
It was alleged that Akinboyeje after noticing the steps of the armed bandits, decided to stand up in an attempt to put off his generator before he was shot at a close range.
The deceased corpse has however been deposited at a morgue in the state, while the police is still going on with investigations to unravel the killers.
