In continuation of her efforts to get the public aware of the reality of breast cancer, the First Lady, over the weekend took breast cancer awareness to the market.
Mrs Betty Akeredolu alongside other members of the state’s chapter of Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN) were all on the train to the popular Oja-Oba in Akure where they enlightened market women and traders on the realness of breast cancer.
Mrs Akeredolu, in her short address, tasked the gathering on the importance of proper hygiene, cleanliness and need to go through a self breast examination at least every month.
The event gave the market women the opportunity to ask questions about breast cancer as it relates to their health, which were subsequently answered by the First Lady.
The sensitization started early in the morning with physical exercises before the members and the First Lady paid a courtesy visit to the Deji of Akure kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi.
