Omotunmise, a short movie aimed at motivating and encouraging 5,000 youths in tertiary and secondary schools in Ondo and Osun state to be agents of change in substantially reducing corruption and bribery in all their forms in Nigeria is set for premiere in Akure this month.

The film is an advocacy tool in support of the SDGs 4 and 16 in hopes of creating awareness for inclusive and quality education for the physically challenged (SDG 4) and the need for stronger and accountable institutions in the country (SDG 16).

Omotunmise is a real-life story of a crippled young school leaver and his quest for education. The movie portrays the causes of corruption in government institutions and the role of youths in combating this menace. This film is aimed at inspiring youths to be agents of change, raise awareness for better education opportunities for the physically challenged and vulnerable.

The Film was made in partnership with Lustre Productions, a media production company, seeking to tell stories from the human point of view, examining societal issues, thereby starting/joining existing conversations about these issues that plague us as a society in order to chart a course to solving them; and Save the Future Initiative, a non –profit social enterprise founded by two passionate Nigerian youths Komolafe Niran Ademola and Adegoroye Oluwaseun Banjo who were motivated by the level of ethical and moral decadence in the country and the laxity on the path of the youth in resolving these issues.

The organization seeks to identify, enlighten and create social awareness against prevailing social menace in the society.

The film stars Agboola Nadot Oladotun and Kemi Aderin in the lead roles and was written by Komolafe Niran Ademola and directed by Efosa Osiomwanuri.
