Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo central senatorial district have described the choice of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by Nigerians in the 2015 general elections as a “ huge mistake”.
Rising from a meeting of the senatorial district held at Igbara Oke, the party leaders, said Nigerians now know the difference between the party and APC.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, leader of the Elders Forum of the party in the state, Professor Olu Agbi, said, ”Nigerians have been able to compare PDP with the ruling All Progressives Congress and had accepted that they made a huge mistake in the 2015 general elections.”
Agbi, a former Ambassador to Australia said Nigerians are now ready to rectify the mistake in forthcoming elections.
Also speaking, a former Chief of Staff to the governor of Ondo State, Dr Kola Ademujimi, said with the failures of the ruling APC at both federal and state level, the PDP will win future elections in the country.
He said, “With the APC’s maladministration at federal and state levels, PDP would be the party to beat in 2019.”
The senatorial chairman of the party, Chief Charles Akinduro, charged members to work hard and ensure that the zone is delivered to PDP in the next elections.
